Prices

Every web site is different, so we don't quote a fixed price for producing one. We would be happy to quote you a price for designing your web site, based on an outline of structure and content of your proposed site that we work out in consultation with you. Our web design services are based on our fees of £ 30 per hour.

The initial design of the page layout, colour scheme, graphics and style sheet to define the overall appearance of your site is the most time consuming part of the work, but subsequent pages can then be produced more quickly. For this reason, we don't quote a 'per page' rate. As a very rough guide, design of your first page may cost somewhere in the region of £275, and subsequent pages £30 to £50 each.

Ecommerce store prices

Ecommerce applications are far more complex to design and configure than static web pages. For example, we may have to design product templates that allow for multiple options such as size and colour for items, rules for delivery charges must be programmed into the store, secure payment forms have to be configured and the whole store tested before it goes 'live'. Ecommerce store prices start at about £ 900 for a basic, PayPal store

Site maintenance, domain transfers, e-mail set up etc.

Web site maintenance - making modifications to your site - is charged at the hourly rate of £35.

Domain transfers involve the work of contacting your existing ISP and/or Registrar and your new ISP, preparing and faxing transfer forms, downloading your site from your old web server, uploading it to your new server and checking that domain transfer has been completed. Transfer requests for .uk domains to the Registrars Nominet™ currently cost £15 + VAT. Hosting your web site with Skynet™ currently costs £ 60 for 2 years. We have to pass these charges on to you, plus a fee for our time carrying out the transfer, based on our £30 hourly rate.

E-mail forwarding from Skynet to your existing mailbox costs £ 50 per year. We charge for our time in setting up and testing this service plus the charge your ISP makes for e-mail forwarding.
